US Central Command released footage from strikes on Iranian Naval vessels, which are threatening international shipping, in the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday morning.
“U.S. forces are destroying Iranian naval targets that threaten international shipping in and near the Strait of Hormuz,” CENTCOM said in an X post with the footage.

This comes amid Iran’s blockade and targeting of ships in the Strait.
President Trump has asked NATO and Asia for help securing the Strait, but they refused.
The President suggested on Wednesday that he would “finish off” Iran in response and that he would leave the Strait for the other countries to “be responsible” for.

This suggests an escalation in the war is imminent.
Meanwhile, Israel attacked Iranian and Qatari natural gas fields on Wednesday, which Trump said the US “knew nothing about.”
This comes after Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said the Strait is open to all except “those who are attacking us and their allies” and threatened to attack American energy infrastructure in the Middle East if the US or Israel targets its oil and energy infrastructure.
Trump has threatened to attack Iran’s energy infrastructure but suggested he is saving those targets “for later.” He further threatened neighboring Gulf countries, from which missiles are being launched.
