In a significant move, the EU Parliament approves an offshore ‘processing’ center for ‘asylum seekers.’
This groundbreaking change is a measure of just how strong right-wingers have become in the EU parliament, and also how unpopular the unchecked mass migration policies are right now.
These are ideas already attempted by former British PM Rishi Sunak with his ‘Rwanda plan’, and Italian premier Giorgia Meloni with her ‘Albania plan’.
In both cases, activist judges blocked the programs, arguing that they were not supported by European law.
Now, the indigenous populations of Europe may have a fighting chance for survival.

“The European Parliament approved on Tuesday a legislative change that could see asylum seekers arriving in the European Union transferred to unrelated countries before their claims are processed.
The change in the ‘safe third country’ concept, included in the Asylum Procedure Regulation (APR), removed the requirement for a link between an applicant and a transfer country, allowing national authorities to move people to states they have never been to.”

“The EU regulation now states that asylum seekers can be transferred to virtually any country in the world, provided there is an agreement or an arrangement in place with an EU state and that the country is considered ‘safe’, meaning a person seeking international protection there will be treated according to ‘international standards’.”
