The man who sprayed Ilhan Omar with apple cider vinegar was hit with a federal assault charge.
President Trump and others speculated that the so-called attack on Ilhan Omar was staged to distract from the probe into her mysterious jump in personal wealth.
A man, identified as 55-year-old Anthony Kazmierczak, charged at Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar during a town hall on Tuesday evening and sprayed her with the foul-smelling liquid.
“DHS Secretary Kristi Noem must resign or face impeachment,” Omar said on Tuesday evening to applause.
A few seconds later, Kazmierczak rushed up to the podium and sprayed Omar.
“We will continue! This f*cking a**hole is not going to get away with it!” Ilhan Omar shouted.

Kazmierczak “forcibly assaulted, opposed, impeded, intimidated, and interfered with United States Representative Ilhan Omar,” the criminal complaint said.
CBS News reported:
The man who rushed at Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar and sprayed her with liquid Tuesday night during a town hall in Minneapolis faces a federal assault charge.
The 55-year-old, identified by police as Anthony Kazmierczak, was tackled to the ground and arrested. Omar was not injured.
Omar, a Democrat, was calling for Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be abolished and for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign.
Kazmierczak was sitting in the audience and ran up to her, spraying her with a substance and yelling, the complaint says. The liquid stained Omar’s clothes and may have reached her eye.
According to a field test, Kazmierczak sprayed Omar with a combination of apple cider vinegar and water. The liquid was sent to a state laboratory for further testing.
