Chaos struck in the People’s Republic of San Francisco on Saturday in an event that could be partially related to the city’s left-wing politics.
As Fox News reported, a massive power outage struck San Francisco Saturday night, plunging thousands into darkness and leaving driverless vehicles stranded in the middle of the roads.
The outage reportedly began on the north side of San Francisco early in the afternoon before spreading further. In total, 130,000 lost power.
Fire officials stated that at least some of the blackouts were caused by a fire that started inside a PG&E substation at 8th and Mission streets. The other causes are currently unknown.
In news that should come as no surprise, PG&E, the energy supplier for San Francisco, is fully committed to DEI. Did this contribute to the chaos?

According to Fox News, the self-driving vehicles that stalled in the streets were unable to detect down traffic lights and triggered massive traffic jams.
BART trains were also forced to bypass at least two downtown stations, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Here are some videos showing some of the chaos that unfolded in the city.

Waymo released a statement to Fox News saying they temporarily suspended their autonomous ride-hailing service thanks to the blackout.
“We have temporarily suspended our ride-hailing services in the San Francisco Bay Area due to the widespread power outage,” the company said in the statement. “Our teams are working diligently and in close coordination with city officials to monitor infrastructure stability, and we are hopeful to bring our services back online soon.”
“We appreciate your patience and will provide further updates as soon as they are available.”
According to the latest update, service has been restored to about 95,000 customers, with 35,000 still without power.
