Newly released video footage shows the moment that Bruna Ferreira, the mother of White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s nephew, was taken into ICE custody.
Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said that Ferreira had a “previous arrest for battery” after entering the country on a tourist visa, which expired in 1999.
Per NBC, she appears to have been eligible to stay under Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
Video, obtained by TMZ, shows Ferreira boxed into a parking lot while driving her silver sedan last month.
Agents then approach her car, slap the cuffs on her, and drive off.

Ferreira’s attorney, Todd Pomerleau, said in a recent appearance on CNN that he does not believe the arrest was random and that her arrest was “strange” because “they asked her for her driver’s license” and sought to identify her before arresting her.
“It’s unconscionable, it’s deplorable. We need a justification for this abuse of power, and we’re going to get an answer when we go to federal court,” the leftist kook said.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Ferreira, who is currently in custody at a Louisiana ICE facility after being arrested in Revere, Massachusetts, shares an 11-year-old child with Karoline Leavitt’s brother, Michael.
The young boy lives full-time with Michael Leavitt in New Hampshire, according to an administration official.
