One day after the Ukrainian peace negotiators met with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and top negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, new reports arise on the involvement of a top Regime official in the corruption scandal involving kickbacks on the Energy sector.
And it’s no one less than the new head peace negotiator, former Defense Minister and current Security Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.
Figure this out: the first charged with Energy sector corruption is Zelensky’s the longtime business partner Timur Mindich, then his right-hand Andriy Yermak, and now his new peace negotiator.
It turns out that Umerov is embroiled in the same corruption investigations that ousted Andriy Yermak, the previous head of Kiev’s delegation.

The Telegraph reported:
“The former defense minister hailed the talks as ‘productive and successful’ while Mr. Rubio said there was ‘more work to be done’.
Mr. Umerov was a last-minute call-up, swooping in to replace Mr. Yermak, who had led the Ukrainian negotiating team until his resignation on Friday after his home was raided as part of an anti-corruption investigation into a £76 million corruption scandal.”
Umerov was reportedly questioned by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and called to testify in the probe into the energy sector corruption scandal.
“He has also been accused of failing to declare he owned eight properties in the US, allegations he has denied.
Bohdan Nahaylo, chief editor of Kyiv Post, questioned why Mr. Zelensky had chosen to entrust the negotiations to Mr. Umerov instead of one Ukraine’s experienced former ministers.
“This decision represents a troubling prioritization of personal loyalty over professional competence at precisely the moment when Ukraine can least afford such indulgence”, he wrote.”
Now, it’s a matter of time until Zelensky himself is implicated:
