Von der Leyen is on a losing streak.
Like so many Globalist ‘leaders’, the European Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen was able to get reelected, but did not pull out a power project that guarantees support for her policies and initiatives.
Since then, she has been highly ineffective – but nothing compares to her horrible month of July.
‘Time to go’: as the month started, Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán posted a meme on social media with an image of von der Leyen stepping out of a red frame, symbolizing her ongoing political debacle.

Referring to the then-upcoming confidence vote, Orbán added: “The vote was scheduled due to the corruption scandals piling up around the President, but we all know that corruption is just the tip of the iceberg. This is about competence, results, and the future of Europe.”
We have been reporting on VDL’s misadventures:

Besides that, she also had a very unsuccessful trip to China, and finally was humiliated by the trade agreement that she signed with the US, with Orbán saying that Donald J. Trump ‘ate her for breakfast’.

July is usually warm month in Brussels politics, but this year was nothing of the sort.
Rightwing MEP from Romania, Gheorghe Piperea, drafted a motion of censure against the European Commission, secured the 72 signatures to put it to a vote.
Euronews reported:
“The motion put von der Leyen in a rare position of defiance. The Commission chief was forced to address, one by one, the accusations that Piperea had levelled against her, rejecting them all as ‘false claims’ and ‘sinister plots’. Socialists, liberals and greens, all of whom backed her re-election last year, seized the moment to air their pent-up frustration and run through a shopping list of recriminations, raising serious questions about the viability of the centrist coalition.”
While she survived the vote, it proved how easy it is to file a motion of censure at any point.
Bruised from the no-confidence vote, von der Leyen turned her attention to the budget: another flop in which she ignored the 26 Commissioners.
“As it happened, the proposal was marred by internal fights over the total size of the budget, the restructuring of programs and the financial allocation for each priority.”

The EU-China summit was another flop.
“Despite the urgent need for tangible change, Ursula von der Leyen left the summit with little to show. There was a new commitment to address bottlenecks in the supply of rare earths and a joint statement on climate action. Beyond that, no progress was achieved, and the main points of friction were left conspicuously unaddressed.”

And VDL ended the horrible month with a resounding defeat on the trade negotiations with Trump.
“With the [tariff] deadline of 1 August looming ever closer, the Commission chief flew to Scotland and met Trump in a last-ditch attempt to seal a deal of sorts. What emerged from those talks was an agreement to apply a 15% tariff on the majority of EU products and a 0% tariff on the majority of US products. Additionally, the bloc made tentative pledges to spend an astonishing $750 billion on American energy and invest $600 billion in the American market by the end of Trump’s mandate.”
Cries of ‘capitulation’ were heard across the old continent.
The very disadvantageous deal further tarnished von der Leyen’s reputation.
