Leftist heathens over the past couple of days have been throwing a tantrum over Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s latest effort to restore faith in God across the military. But Hegseth is not letting these haters keep him down, and they will hate his response.
This week, a series of left-wing media outlets and X users have flipped out over Hegseth hosting a Christian prayer service at the Pentagon on Wednesday. This event was the start of a monthly voluntary prayer service, meaning those who don’t like it can opt out.
However, that did not stop websites like HuffPost from printing this garbage.

Then leftist X accounts got into the act:
On Wednesday, Pete Hegseth (Secretary of Defense and leaker of Signal chats) hosted a Christian prayer service at the Pentagon.
The service clearly violates the Establishment Clause
Hegseth plans on hosting these events monthly. https://t.co/6Wi7lZRylu

Liberal retired Air Force Lt. Col. Rachel VanLandingham, now a law professor, whined to CNN that Hegseth’s move could qualify as a breach of the First Amendment’s ban on the government promoting a religion. Again, the service is voluntary.
“I think it’s sponsorship in the true sense of the word, outside of funding — he’s advocating for this, he is putting his weight of the official Office of the Secretary of Defense behind a particular religious event and inviting someone to the Pentagon to conduct it,” she said. “That’s wrong.”
Hegseth delivered an absolutely perfect response to this anti-Christian garbage while speaking with reporters at Fort Bragg on Thursday, where he had delivered a speech to the 82nd Airborne Division’s All-American Week formation, hailing recent military pay raises.
“It’s interesting. I’ve gotten some criticism for hosting a Christian prayer service at the Pentagon yesterday,” Hegseth told reporters. “We said it very publicly, we said it very proudly. Appealing to Heaven, to God, is a long-standing tradition in our military.”
“I’m very proud that we’re starting a monthly voluntary service at the Pentagon. George Washington was on bended knee with the troops, praying for God’s providence and protection in that moment,” he added. “Chaplains and ministers and Christians and people of faith across generations have prayed because of the business that we’re in. The business of the 82nd Airborne…And we appeal to God.”

Unreal that this has to be argued.

Hegseth then closed by proclaiming his own faith in Christ and delivering one final message of defiance to the haters.
“I appeal to Jesus Christ for that protection,” he said. “We’re gonna speak that word and be open and willing to talk about that at the Pentagon.”
“If they want to criticize that, they’re on the wrong side of a very important issue.”
