The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) began its investigation into the IRS today and high-profile Democrat leaders are outraged.

Elon Musk and DOGE have now started their efforts to crack down on arguably the most hated agency in the entire country, causing liberals to lose it all over again.
Reuters reported that Gavin Kliger, a key staffer working with Elon Musk in his efforts to downsize the federal government, entered IRS headquarters on Thursday to investigate the corrupt agency’s operations.
Sources told Reuters that Kliger had been meeting with multiple senior executives at the agency to learn more.
One can only imagine what nasty stuff Kliger and the rest of DOGE will discover. It’s a safe bet that documented political persecution against conservatives will be one of the items.
This development follows President Trump’s announcement during a news conference that he would be looking into the IRS.
Far-left Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) hit the panic button upon hearing the news of DOGE’s arrival.
“My office is hearing that DOGE is now at the IRS,” he wrote on X. That means Musk’s henchmen are in a position to dig through a trove of data about every taxpayer in America.
“And if your refund is delayed, they could very well be the reason,” the senator added.
Siding with what is likely the most hated agency in the country and turning your back on the American people seemingly only has so many explanations. This is not about timely tax returns or any other excuse they might bring up. It is about uncovering the fraud and abuse that the American people have been subject to for years. We deserve to have an ounce of transparency in government. If they can audit us, why can’t we audit them? Standing against transparency says more than words every could.
