Tulsi Gabbard, President Trump’s Nominee for Director of National Intelligence, faces a vote this afternoon that will determine whether or not the full Senate votes on her confirmation, and two of the most crucial votes have committed their support.
Gabbard’s fate hangs in the balance of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and despite previously expected holdouts from Republicans Susan Collins and Todd Young, it appears Gabbard will be safe.
Senator Todd Young (R-IN), a squish, on Tuesday morning announced that he will be supporting Tulsi Gabbard and looks forward ” to working with her to protect our national security.”
He said on X,
I appreciate Tulsi Gabbard’s engagement with me on a variety of issues to ensure that our intelligence professionals will be supported and policymakers will receive unbiased information under her leadership.
I have done what the Framers envisioned for senators to do: use the consultative process to seek firm commitments, in this case commitments that will advance our national security, which is my top priority as a former Marine Corps intelligence officer.
Having now secured these commitments, I will support Tulsi’s nomination and look forward to working with her to protect our national security.

Additionally, The Gateway Pundit reported that RINO Senator Susan Collins (ME) announced she will support Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination to become director of national intelligence (DNI) after rumors that she was set to derail it.
The President’s nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary, RFK Jr., also faced a committee vote on whether or not to advance to the Senate floor.
The Gateway Pundit reported that the Senate Finance Committee voted to send RFK Jr.’s nomination on a straight party-line vote of 14-13.
Still, there was tremendous drama surrounding one key swing vote: Senator Bill Cassidy (RINO-LA), who infamously voted to impeach President Trump following the J6 protests. Cassidy previously expressed concerns regarding RFK. Jr.’s vaccine views. But he announced his support just before the vote.
