Jesse Jackson Jr., son of the late Rev. Jesse Jackson, has come out swinging against the Democrats who shamelessly turned his father’s funeral into a hate-filled anti-Trump spectacle.
Jackson, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight during this mourning period, issued a fiery statement blasting the political opportunists who hijacked the solemn event to push their divisive agenda during the homegoing service for his father at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition headquarters in Chicago on Saturday.
On February 18, Jonathan Jackson Jr. pleaded during a press conference for people not to bring politics into his father’s funeral services.
“Dad believed that funerals were not for the dearly departed. He believed funerals were for the living. He believed they were great gathering meetings.
No two lives in human history will have the same number of people attending their funerals, nor will the same people be at their funerals. Your friends aren’t my friends, and my friends aren’t your friends. We don’t know the same people. You don’t know the same people that I know.
Do not bring your politics, out of respect to Reverend Jesse Jackson and the life that he lived, to these homegoing services. Come respectfully, and come to say thank you.
But these homegoing services are welcome to all — Democrat, Republican, liberal, and conservative; right-wing, left-wing — because his life is broad enough to cover the full spectrum of what it means to be an American.
We only ask people to come and be respectful in the context of the extraordinary life that he lived. Dad would have wanted us to have a great meeting to discuss our differences, to find ways of moving forward and moving together.”

The funeral, held in Chicago on Friday, was supposed to be a moment to honor the civil rights leader who passed away last month at the age of 84 after a long battle with progressive supranuclear palsy.
Instead, it devolved into a Democrat rally, with Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Bill Clinton, along with Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton, using the podium to launch vicious attacks on President Trump and his administration.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Obama delivered a 30-minute rant, spewing venom about “greed and bigotry” in a thinly veiled swipe at Trump.
“Everywhere we see greed and bigotry being celebrated, and bullying and mockery masquerading as strength,” Obama said, turning a eulogy into a political hit job. Team Trump fired back hard, calling out Obama’s disgusting exploitation of the event.
Not to be outdone, Joe Biden bizarrely bragged to the crowd, “I’m a hell of a lot smarter than most of you,” in one of his trademark gaffes. And Kamala Harris, ever the chameleon, busted out her infamous fake accent while delivering a politically divisive message.
The absurdity peaked when former NBA player Isiah Thomas thanked “the five presidents” in attendance, hilariously including “President Harris” and “President Clinton” (that’s Hillary) alongside Bill Clinton, Biden, and Obama. Talk about election denialism!
In a fiery rebuke, Jackson Jr. called out Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Joe Biden on Saturday, accusing them of hijacking the service to promote political messaging rather than honoring the true legacy of his father.
“Yesterday, I listened for several hours to three United States presidents who do not know Jesse Jackson.
He maintained a tense relationship with the political order—not because the presidents were white or black, but because the demands of our message, the demands of speaking for the least of these—those who were disinherited, the damned, the dispossessed, the disrespected—demanded not Democratic or Republican solutions, but a consistent, prophetic voice that, at no point in time, ever sold us out as a people.
It speaks volumes about who the Reverend Jesse Jackson was.
Our message has already been delivered today. I can see it all over my mother’s face: ‘Rise, rise, Jesse, rise.’
Give Jonathan Jackson another great round of applause for delivering our family message.”
