Former CNN host lashed out at the Trump Administration following his arraignment on federal charges related to his ‘coordinated attack’ on a church in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Lemon pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to deprive religious freedom rights and a violation of the FACE Act.
Last month the feds arrested Don Lemon, Trahern Jeen Crews, Jamael Lydell Lundy and Georgia Fort in connection with the “coordinated” attack on Cities Church.
Don Lemon entered Cities Church with a mob of screaming leftists and livestreamed the crime.
Don Lemon was charged with 18 USC 241, Conspiracy to Deprive Rights and 18 USC 248, Violation of the FACE Act.
Read the indictment here.
The indictment said Don Lemon “oppressed, threatened, and intimidated the Church’s congregants and pastors by physically occupying most of the main aisle and rows of chairs near the front of the Church, engaging in menacing and threatening behavior…”
The indictment also alleges Don Lemon “physically obstructed” congregants as they “attempted to exit and/or move about within the Church.”
There was a media circus as Don Lemon left the courthouse in Minnesota.
Don Lemon said his decision to storm Cities Church in St. Paul last month is protected by the Constitution.
“For more than 30 years, I have been a journalist – and the power and protection of the First Amendment has been the underpinning of my work,” Don Lemon said.
He continued, “The events before my arrest, and what’s happened since, show that people are finally realizing what this Administration is all about.”
“For them, the process is the punishment. Like all of you here in Minnesota, I will not be intimidated, I will not back down, and I will fight these baseless charges,” he said.
