Some House Democrats are reportedly furious with Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s decision to run for Senate in Texas.
The Texas Congresswoman, who is known for her extremely low IQ and vulgar rants, announced she has filed the paperwork to run for Senator John Cornyn’s seat earlier this week.
During her announcement address, she compared herself to Barack Obama before bursting into tears.
“The more I saw the poll results, I couldn’t ignore the trends, which were clear, both as it relates to the primary as well as the general election,” she declared
”I could have played it safe and continued serving in the United States House of Representatives for as long as my constituents would have me.”
”But I don’t choose to do that because, Texas, this moment that we’re in now, is life or death.”

However, her fellow Democrats are less excited at the prospect of her campaign.
According to a report from Axios, many believe she will be a drag on the overall Democratic ticket.
Their report states:
Many in the party fear the anti-Trump firebrand will alienate swing voters and drag down Democrats in the state if she clinches the nomination — including in several key House races that could decide control of the lower chamber.
“She might win a primary, but she ain’t winning a general in Texas,” said a senior House Democrat who, like others quoted in this story, spoke on the condition of anonymity to offer candid thoughts about a colleague.
“It’s concerning for [swing] districts … I think it’s a bad decision,” said a second House Democrat.
…
A third House Democrat who spoke anonymously said a NOTUS article about Senate Republicans waging a covert campaign to nudge Crockett into the race has been making the rounds among members.
Crockett responded to the article by saying that lawmakers in Washington do not understand her state’s political dynamics.
“It’s hard to get a clear picture of who the Texans are from the fog of Washington,” Crockett told the outlet in a statement.
“My message is one that reaches people who are often ignored by the political class.
“I’m not running a campaign focused on insider politics … I’m focused on reaching all 30 million Texans and earning their trust.”

Should she win the Democratic nomination, Crockett will almostly certainly face either incumbent Senator John Cornyn or MAGA favorite and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
