“We will be here in D.C. on December 9th with the very first ‘Santos Claus’, which is something that will become an annual tradition moving forward,” Santos said. “I am really excited to be celebrating with close friends, supporters and people who really stuck by me. No fair weather friends are on this list, let’s just put it that way.”

When George Santos was arrested and thrown into jail, Washington did what Washington does best: it scattered.
People who once claimed to be his friend suddenly acted like they never had his number. The phones went silent. The allies vanished. And only a tiny handful stood by him when it actually cost something.
Fast-forward — President Trump commutes his sentence and breaks George Santos out of jail — and suddenly everyone wants back in Santos’ orbit.
Everyone wants a selfie. Everyone wants forgiveness. And everyone wants an invite to the most exclusive event of the season.
“Fun, Christmas, Christ, Caviar and Booze,” said Santos. “It’s really just about having fun. I just want people to come and enjoy. So look- we are going to have things from caviar to fondue towers to seafood towers and oh by the way…all the guests are receiving a gift from me.”
Santos is flipping the script. He’s making this party a reminder that backbone matters more than popularity.
And he has one message for the fair-weather friends now begging to get in:
“Guys, relax. If you didn’t make the list this year- do better. You’ll make it next year.”
Underneath the humor, there’s a real point here.
The people who stood by Santos are the same kind who stood by the January 6 political prisoners when everyone else ran. The same kind who pushed back against vaccine mandates when it was unfashionable. The same kind who fought for election integrity even when the media mocked them.
These aren’t trend-followers. These are people with spines.
And in a city built on shifting alliances, the Santos Claus Party delivers a rare reminder:
Loyalty is proven in the dark moments — not when the spotlight comes back on.
