On Wednesday, Minneapolis was rocked by a horrific act of violence that left two innocent children dead and 17 others wounded inside Annunciation Catholic Church and School during morning Mass.
The shooter, identified as 23-year-old Robert “Robin” Westman, a biological male who transitioned at age 17, opened fire on worshippers in what the FBI now confirms was a domestic terror attack.
FBI Director Kash Patel previously announced that the FBI is investigating the shooting as domestic terrorism and a hate crime targeting Catholics.
On Thursday, Patel announced that the investigators have gathered overwhelming evidence proving this was no random act of violence but a targeted attack fueled by leftist radical ideology and anti-religious hatred.
“As we continue to investigate yesterday’s barbaric attack from Robert Westman, the male subject, our teams have gathered information and evidence demonstrating this was an act of domestic terrorism motivated by a hate-filled ideology,” Patel wrote.
According to Patel, the shooter left behind a manifesto filled with disturbing anti-Catholic and anti-religious screeds. Among the discoveries:
“Subject left multiple anti-Catholic, anti-religious references both in his manifesto and written on his firearms
Subject expressed hatred and violence toward Jewish people, writing “Israel must fall,” “Free Palestine,” and using explicit language related to the Holocaust
He wrote a an explicit call for violence against President Trump on a firearm magazine”
“The FBI investigation is still ongoing. We will employ all of our counter-terror tools to ensure this is fully investigated and deterred. And as promised, we will continue to update when able,” Patel added.

In YouTube videos posted around the time of the attack, the shooter presented a journal and an arsenal of weapons with disturbing inscriptions such as “Kill Donald Trump” along with antisemitic, anti-Catholic, and racist slurs.
The writings referenced past mass shooters (e.g., Adam Lanza, Anders Behring Breivik, Brenton Tarrant), depicted violent fantasies, and contained suicidal ideation.
The Gateway Pundit reported earlier that Westman confessed to regretting his transition and blaming the “brainwashing” that convinced him he was a woman.
