A new Trump “meme coin,” launched three days before his inauguration as President of The United States, has skyrocketed in value, multiplying by over 100.
Trump has promised to be the first pro-crypto President in history.
Trump previously spoke at the Nashville Bitcoin Conference while campaigning for President in July and promised he would fire current SEC Chairman Gary Gensler “on day one” and “appoint a new SEC Chairman who believes America should build the future, not block the future.”
He further declared that under his Administration, the United States will become the “Crypto capital of the planet and the Bitcoin superpower of the world.” He continued, “If crypto is going to define the future, I want it to be mined, minted, and made in the USA.”
“And if Bitcoin is going to the moon, as we say–It’s going to the moon–I want America to be the nation that leads the way, and that’s what’s going to happen.”

Sacks appeared at the pre-inaugural Crypto Ball Friday night in Washington, DC, where he proclaimed that “The reign of terror against crypto is over, and the beginning of innovation in America for crypto has just begun.”
Trump announced his meme coin on X Friday evening:

The Kobessi Letter explained in an X thread how the coin saw a parabolic rise from its launch price of about $.25 to, as of this morning, an increase of “9,500% with $2.2 BILLION of volume traded in under 12 hours.”
The crypto reached a peak of nearly $34 in value this morning at approximately 11 am ET.
The initial launch of the coin was so hard to believe, it came with skepticism.
Traders figured Donald Trump’s account was hacked.
However, no statement on a hack surfaced so the coin kept rising.

Some are making millions off of their early purchases of the memecoin.
