Americans are only 18 days away from President Trump’s return, and the country desperately needs real leadership.
In the wake of the terror attack in New Orleans, Senate Republicans are urging the swift confirmation of President Trump’s National Security team.
The stellar team includes Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense, Kash Patel for FBI Director, and Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence.
Incoming Senate Republican leader John Thune (R-SD) shared on X, “Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the senseless terror attack in New Orleans.”
“With reports of ISIS inspiration, the American people expect clear answers from the administration,” Thune said. “The threat posed by ISIS will outlast this administration, and this is a clear example of why the Senate must get President Trump’s national security team in place as quickly as possible.”

Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) directly addressed the lack of confidence in the FBI saying, “The fact that a reporter has better intel than the FBI tells us all we need to know.”
“The FBI has failed its core mission.”

“America needs a fearless fighter like @Kash_Patel at the FBI.”

Blackburn also noted that the agency’s priorities have been seriously misaligned in recent years.
“The FBI should be focused on fighting criminals and terrorists.”
“Instead, the agency has wasted valuable resources hosting DEI seminars, investigating churchgoers, and raiding President Trump’s home.”
