Los Angeles County dropped plans to reimpose its indoor mask mandate, the Associated Press reported.
According to AP, Covid hospitalizations and cases have stabilized so Los Angeles County decided to halt its plans to reimpose the mask mandate.
Los Angeles County had been planning to reinstate its mask mandate on July 29 until its public health director was spotted maskless at an MLB All-Star game.
Beverly Hills, Long Beach, Pasadena and El Segundo also announced they would not be enforcing the new mask mandate.
“The El Segundo City Council voted during a special meeting Tuesday night against enforcing a possible mask order.” ABC 7 reported.
“The Beverly Hills City Council cast a similar vote Monday night. The cities of Long Beach and Pasadena — both of which operate their own health departments separate from the county — announced Tuesday they would not issue mask mandates, even if the county did.” the outlet reported.
LA County public health director Barbara Ferrer last Thursday said, “Lots of folks are asking why we’re bothering and asking why don’t we just let things run their course like other places may have done.”
“I think it’s really hard … to look at the LA County data and not notice who continues to be hardest hit and not notice that we still have lots and lots of people with severe illness, lots of people who die and lots of people with long Covid, and not want to take a fairly straightforward step to try to layer in some additional protections,” she said.
Five days later, Barbara Ferrer was spotted at an MLB All-Star game – MASKLESS.
This is while she’s trying to convince the people of Los Angeles that there is currently a Covid five-alarm fire.

The Democrat officials in charge in Los Angeles County absolutely destroyed small businesses during the Covid pandemic with their authoritarian lockdown mandates.
